Fit Body 〰️

About this category

Fit Body judges are looking for an athletic physique, but without the level of muscle mass of the bodybuilding division.

Athletes wear two-piece figure suit; thongs or T-back bottoms are not allowed. The suit may be embellished with rhinestones, sparkles, or sequins for added effect. High-heeled shoes are required. Jewelry and body piecing is allowed, but must not be offensive or obscure the physique.

Scoring is based on 2 rounds.

See segments below for details.

  • Fit Body is judged equally on muscularity, symmetry, and stage presence . Judges will be looking at balance and proportion (e.g., between upper and lower body).

Athletes should be symmetrically balanced; upper or lower body should not overpower the other; no one-body part should overpower the rest of the physique.

Competitors must also show good muscle development and conditioning. The key is to come in conditioned and not overly muscular, too striated or hard looking. Too much overall muscle mass or appearing to be at the same physical level of a bodybuilding competitor is not Fit Body.

Some separation is required to display different muscle groups.

In clear terms - Fit Body is a division which suits those with a more “trained” look, i.e. harder conditioned figure athletes/lighter muscled bodybuilders.

Scoring is based on 2 rounds:

    1.Symmetry

Symmetry is judged on balanced proportions; upper and lower body should not overpower the other, and no one body part should overpower the rest of the physique.

    2.Muscle Tone

Muscle Tone will focus on the overall conditioning of the body, not overly muscular, too striated, or hard looking. Competitors should not appear to be at the same overly lean physical level of a Bodybuilding competitor.

  • Judges will score each round and give competitors a final placement for that round before moving on to the next round.

For example, if there are 8 people in the class the judging panel will place athletes 1st thru 8th in each round. When judging is complete both scores (2) will be added together to come up with the final placement for each competitor in that class.

Please note that only the top 3 athletes for each class get awarded. Only the top 5 will be provided with their placings.

  • We have recently introduced a new section on our website titled 'Poses,' showcasing the mandatory quarter turns and poses essential for our shows 🤩. Check it out HERE

After this round is over, the Fit Body athlete will exit the stage and one by one will go through their ‘ I-Walk’. See graphic below.

The I-Walk will consist of a pose of the athlete’s choice at the rear centre stage and a walk to the center front.

The competitor will then present their 5 mandatory poses and exit through the right side of the stage (the same way they entered)

✔️ The I-Walk will be done to music selected by WNBF Australia.

✔️ The order of the 5 poses is up to the athlete.

✔️ 40 seconds is the maximum time allocated for the I-Walk

✔️ Poses should not be held for more than 3 seconds each.

✔️ Poses should present an athletic aesthetic and not be too "Bodybuilding" oriented.

✔️Overall stage presence – judges will assess competitor’s ability to confidently and seamlessly execute

✔️ Feel free to add any extra poses related to the category or transitions.

    OVERALL

During the overall round, competitors may be asked to perform a free style ‘Pose Down’ as a group, where most muscular poses could be performed.

  • 1.Novice

Novice competitors are either first time competitors, someone who has competed and has not placed top three in an Open class (in the WNBF or in any other natural organisation)

If you win a Novice class, you are then required to compete in an Open division.

    2.Open:

(This is a Pro Card winning class 🏆)

This class may be split into 2, A and B, based on the athlete’s height.

    3.Masters

(This is a Pro Card winning class 🏆)

Athletes over the age of 40 are eligible for the Masters Figure.

  • Only the top 3 athletes in each class will be awarded. However, only the winner (1st place) of a class will get to compete for the overall title and a Pro Card.

    Note:

✔️ Only Open class competitors and Masters are eligible for Pro Cards.

✔️ Depending on the total number of competitors, classes may be arranged differently than stipulated. This also means less (or more) Pro Cards can be awarded.

✔️ Pro Card winners will be officially recognised by the WNBF and its other international affiliates once urine tests come back negative.
